8 people is our recommended maximum for a single guide on foot, to keep the experience relaxed rather than rushed. How It Works
Booking Your Tour, Step by Step
Here's exactly what happens from your first message to the end of your tour day — clear, simple, and in the language you're most comfortable in.
1
Tell us your dates and interests
Share your travel dates, group size, and what you'd love to see — history, food, temples, hidden corners. In English or Español.
2
Receive a custom itinerary and quote
We build a day around your interests and send a clear, written quote — no vague pricing, no hidden fees.
3
Secure your date
A deposit locks in your guide and date. Full terms are always shared before you pay anything.
4
Confirm the details
We'll confirm your meeting point, timing, and any dietary or accessibility needs a few days ahead.
5
Tour day
Your guide meets you at the agreed spot and leads the way — at your pace, in your language, all day.
6
Photos, if included
Full-Day tours include photo coverage — you'll receive your unedited gallery within 24 hours and edited favorites shortly after.
Why travelers trust us with their day
  • Every quote is in writing, in plain language — the price you're shown is the price you pay.
  • We guide fluently in English and Español — a genuinely rare combination in Kansai.
  • Tours run on foot and public transit with a licensed local guide — safe, legal, and how the region is best experienced.
  • You'll always know who's showing up — the same guide you plan with is the one who walks with you.
  • Deposits and payments go through a secure checkout, with terms shared upfront — never over cash or unofficial transfers.
Before Your Tour
What to Expect
Comfortable shoes recommended
Our tours involve walking and public transit — comfortable footwear makes the whole day better.
A pace built around you
This is a private tour, not a group bus schedule — we slow down, speed up, or skip a stop entirely based on what you want.
Local knowledge, built in
Timing around crowds, quiet entrances to popular spots, and honest recommendations for food along the way.
Weather contingency
Kansai weather can shift fast — we'll always have an indoor or covered alternative ready if needed.
Entrance fees are separate
Temple, shrine, and museum entrance fees (typically ¥200–500 per site) are paid on the day, not included in the tour price.
Clear communication throughout
From first inquiry to the end of your tour, you'll always know what's next.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer tours in Spanish, not just English?+
Yes — full private tours in Español are one of our specialties, a genuinely rare offering in the Kansai region compared to English-language tours.
Can we combine Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara in one day?+
Yes, on a Full-Day or Tour Only 8-hour tour — though we generally recommend focusing on 1–2 areas so you're not spending most of the day on trains. Tell us your priorities and we'll design the best route.
Is transportation included?+
Your guide's transportation is included in the tour price. Your own train/subway fares are not included — we recommend an IC card (Suica or ICOCA) or a Japan Rail Pass, and we'll help you navigate it all on the day.
Can the guide drive us around in a car?+
Our standard tours run on foot and public transit, which is how Japanese law requires paid passenger transport to work — only licensed drivers can charge for that. For large groups who'd prefer a private vehicle, we can arrange a licensed driver as an add-on.
What if our group is larger than 8 people?+
Reach out with your group size and we'll put together a custom plan — typically a second guide or a chartered vehicle, so the day stays enjoyable rather than logistically stressful.
What happens if it rains?+
Tours run rain or shine — we'll adjust the itinerary toward covered markets, museums, and indoor spots as needed.
Is a deposit required?+
Yes, a deposit secures your date and is non-refundable except in cases of illness, accident, or other extreme circumstances on our part. The remaining balance is due within 90 days of your deposit — full details are in our Terms of Service.
Can we add a Tokyo tour to our trip?+
Yes — the same guide can join you in Tokyo for a flat travel fee of ¥28,000, added on top of any tour price.
